Cherry Blossoms in Japan
On my third time here, it was fascinating to explore the culture in depth. Upon arrival, it was cold and the Japanese people were silently passing by with suits & little emotion as a way the culture keeps harmony. I felt far from familiarity, exploring my own depths with curiosity as I walked alone with thousands passing by.
A few weeks later, they were having picnics under the pink cherry blossoms that only bloom for a few weeks a year. It was special to cherish this temporary period between winter & spring. I learned from stories told by individuals from many walks of life, different yet strangely similar to my inner world.
Two weeks in Tokyo, one week in Kyoto, and a stop by a Japanese temple to visit a monk. A day trip to Deer park in Nara.
