Back to Vietnam

Coming back to the place where all my travels started in 2016. It was a full circle; what felt like my Hero’s journey. The landscapes were breathtaking and locals resilient, kind, outgoing. Surrounded by beauty with people from all over the world, yet I wasn’t happy. What once saved my life was no longer a source of happiness.

Carrying my heavy backpacks across the country was no longer enjoyable. Little me loved meeting new people; this me wanted to be close to family & friends.

I traveled thousands of miles through places that unlocked the world of travel for 18 year old me. I was very far from familiarity, navigating with the help of google maps, translate, a scooter and transportation companies to book buses, boats and trains. Moments felt serendipitous, cathartic and everything in between.

It has been such an important full circle. Everything afterwards is a transition between the last 8 years and the next 8. I can’t wait to publish more on this soon.
